For real estate

E-Signature for Real Estate

For people selling by owner, small agencies and property managers who need forms signed fast, from anywhere, without a per-agent subscription.

Documents you can send

The documents that move a deal forward.

Bring your own forms as PDFs, or a photo of a paper form. You place the fields.

  • Listing agreements, signed by every owner on title.
  • Seller disclosures, including the federal lead-based paint disclosure for homes built before 1978.
  • Showing and buyer agreements, signed before a tour, from the buyer's phone.
  • Offer acknowledgements and counteroffers, with initials and dates in the right places.
  • Property management agreements, between owners and managers.
  • Leases and rental applications, for the units you manage.

How it works

Three steps, from any phone.

1. Upload the form

Upload the PDF or photograph the paper form. Add signature, initials, date, checkbox and text fields.

2. Add the signers

Up to 20 people per document, at the same time or in order: sellers first, then the agent.

3. Send and track

Send by text, WhatsApp, email or link. The status page shows who has signed, and you get the signed PDF with its certificate.

Why MultiDocs

Quick signatures without a per-agent bill.

No account for buyers and sellers

Buyers and sellers open a link and sign with a finger or a mouse. Nothing to download, no password to remember.

Text, WhatsApp or email

Send the link by text message, WhatsApp or email, or copy it and paste it anywhere. Email reminders go out every two days, up to three times.

Bulk send

Send the same notice or acknowledgement to many owners or tenants at once: up to 20 on the free plan, up to 500 on Team.

Audit trail on every PDF

The last page records the date and time, where the link was sent, IP address, device, a unique signer code and the SHA-256 fingerprint of the file. Anyone can check it at /verify.

Good to know

Who this is for, and who it isn't.

Let's be honest. Large brokerages usually work inside transaction software like zipForm, Dotloop or SkySlope, with DocuSign or similar built in, so the association forms fill and sign in one place. MultiDocs has no integrations with any of them, and no API. If that is your workflow, keep it.

MultiDocs fits the people around those systems: owners selling their own home (FSBO), small independent agencies, and property managers who mostly need a form signed quickly by someone who will never create an account. The Team plan is $25 a month for everyone in the office, not per agent.

Real estate contracts can be signed electronically under the ESIGN Act and state UETA laws. Deeds and documents that must be recorded usually need a notary; see e-signature vs notary. MultiDocs does not offer notarization. This is general information, not legal advice. For your specific situation, ask a lawyer licensed in your state.

Questions

Real estate e-signature questions.

Can I sign a real estate purchase agreement electronically?

In most states, yes. Contracts for the sale of real property can be signed electronically under ESIGN and UETA. Deeds and documents to be recorded usually still need a notary, and MultiDocs does not notarize.

Does MultiDocs work with zipForm, Dotloop or SkySlope?

No. We have no integrations or API. If your brokerage works inside one of those systems, its built-in e-signature is the better fit. MultiDocs is for forms you send as PDFs.

I'm selling my home myself. Can I use MultiDocs for free?

Yes. The free plan lets you sign your own documents without limit and send 15 signature requests a month, which covers most FSBO sales.

Can several owners sign the same listing agreement?

Yes. Add up to 20 signers to one document, at the same time or in order.

Do buyers need an account to sign?

No. They open the link from a text or email and sign with a finger or mouse.

What proof do I get that someone signed?

A certificate on the last page of the PDF with the date and time, where the link was sent, IP address, device and browser, a unique signer code and the document's SHA-256 fingerprint. It can be checked at /verify.
